‘‘F&B has a true talent in bringing people together to create a greater sense of community. By using ingredients that are locally harvested and products that are locally made (i.e. Wood tables, ceramic plates all sourced locally), F&B, in turn, is giving back to the community around them. F&B provides an outlet for people of all ages, backgrounds, careers, etc to come together over a shared appreciation for their community and a desire to participate in learning more about it.’’

‘‘My partner and I had the great privilege of joining Fish & Bicycle's mushroom forage + dinner hosted at Smokey Belles' Le Petite Cabine. I can't say enough about how special the experience was. Our evening began, led by a mushroom expert, walking the forests surrounding Narrowsburg, foraging for mushrooms on the same land that our evening's chef had walked the days previous, providing us with a strong connection to and sense of place surrounding our meal. Following the forage, we returned creekside to enjoy an apertif infused with local herbs as we warmed ourselves by the fire and enjoyed the creek flowing by. Cabin-side, we dined under softly glowing lights, at the most exquisite table, enjoying conversation with newly made friends. Each dish that arrived, and there were many, sang the praises of the local bounty from fire-roasted squash, to celery soup topped with smoked river eel and saba, to shaved wild mushrooms and blueberries topped with gremolata, to honey spooned straight from the hive. Every detail of the meal and experience was impeccably and beautifully prepared and provided for, with the service being one of the most memorable aspects of the meal. We were made to feel entirely at home and so well cared for. We can't wait to enjoy another evening and event with F&B. Narrowsburg is one of our favorite towns to visit in the Catskill region and knowing that Fish and Bicycle will be available not only for events, but more regularly will inspire us to visit more often. Additionally, the meal and experience we had with them was so inspiring that we would love to return for our own event.'‘

‘‘Fun, fast-moving and diverting class (with very tasty refreshments!). The field book cover was the right work project to learn and practice basic skills without getting overwhelmed. Everybody seemed pleased with his/her final product and ready to start a full product line. Coming soon again to Fish & Bicycle...’’

‘‘What a wonderful introduction to leather smithing! Alexa is an excellent instructor, she provided us with clear, visual instructions and a full resource list. I loved working with the various tools and the opportunity to create a beautiful leather keepsake. Fish and Bicycle was a perfect setting for this event. I would take this workshop again.’’

‘‘I drove up from Philadelphia to enjoy this wonderful event and it couldn’t have been more worth it. Combining a learning opportunity with a rewarding food finale worked really well. I think the community would benefit by these events— you don’t have to be well versed in any of it, just bring yourself and an open mind to learning and you’ll leave the evening refreshed and inspired. I learned a lot both through the event and also through all the different kinds of people I met. Everything was also locally inspired— so from a community perspective I think this would be an asset to either learn about what grows locally OR ideas of how to prepare these foods/host a dinner with them etc etc. These events are definitely great for bringing culture to the community.

Juliette really has an artistic eye — she knows how to create an incredible ambiance as well as be a lovely hostess.’’
